Moving Automobiles to Italia
I don’t know about you, but going to Italy has always been a life-long vision of mine. Nevertheless, of large worry to me (and other travelers visiting Italy) is how to get around this beautiful but unknown region. What more and more people are choosing to do to make their leisure more fun and allot them more freedom is moving autos to Italy.
Learning the Laws of the Land
Before you import your auto to Italy, you have to be aware of some of the laws, regulations and taxes that may be imposed upon your arrival and the arrival of your car. For example, if cars are coming from a part of the Italy’s European Union, they can be easily imported into Italy if they’ve been driven for six thousand kilometers and are over 6 months old. If you’re from another country, the car has to be at least one year old.
If you’re thinking to import your motorcar into Italy, you need a residence papers. When driving, remember you’ll be driving on the right side of the road! There are also requirements that need to be followed regarding the shipping of cars by non-Italians. Verify with your authorities before you arrange to ship your vehicle there so you know all the rules!
Browse around for the best deal from forwarding companies. Before accepting one bid, compare what each company will do for you. Although several might complete the work for you, most require that you prepare your car for the shipping, including draining most of the fuel, removing private items and making certain the motorcar is in good condition.
Be prepared to demonstrate your driver’s license and proof of identification. Make sure you have insurance to protect your automobile from the time it reaches its destination.
